Preparing Set Design
Me Lisa and Rada were making the set design in these pictures below. We went to the art room to prepare the set design and we got the props like the cardboard and rulers and scissors to cut the cardboard. We also got two poles to stick the cardboard on so it stands up right. We then only had to paint both of them pink and blue because thats our gameshow logo colour.

Double trouble logo
This is how it came out when it was printed and we went to test it out in the set design and we think it didn't work out because it was to small to see. We put it at the back of the wall and we wanted to see if we could see it through the camera and we put it on focus but it was to small to notice it so, we decided not to have it at all for the game show.

Job roles
In my group for the game show we had Leutrim, Rada, Maria, Lisa, Hussein, Ilyas and Jamie. We all had different roles to do in order to have a good successful game show, and for everyone to take part.
Director
Leutrim was director so he was in charge of everything that went on during the whole process. He would tell us what to do and if we had an idea we had to get it to him first.
Producer
Jamie and Maria were both producers as 'Double trouble' game show was there idea.
Camera woman
Rade was camera woman and she was on camera 1.
Camera man 2
Lisa was camera woman as well and she had camera 2.
Camera man 3
Jamie was camera man and he was on camera 3
Set Design
Me and Lisa were the ones that were in charge of the set design.
Editor
Leutrim is the one that is going to edit the game show once we filmed it.
Floor manager
Hussein is the floor manger and he has to make sure that everyone is in their place before we start filming and he also does the countdown.

Rehearsals
We rehearsed most of the time and leutrim provided us with the script to use, so we can get an idea of how the game show would be like. One time when Hussein wasn't in i offered to fill his place of TV host just for that day. The other people in our group like Maria and Jamie filled in as contestants just for the time being because we didn't have other people yet. We didn't have anything set up yet like camera's and lights or even props. Over time and weeks we decided to use the equipment for our rehearsals to make us prepare and to actually know what were doing on the actual day. This will help us learn on how to set up equipment like cameras, lights, vision mixer, and sound when the technician shows us the first time. I had to learn on how to set up the vision mixer because that was my role and it was pretty easy and straightforward. We also had a rehearsal where we used the actual props and i think that was a good idea because we would know what to expect on the real shooting and its like a preparation.

Cue Cards
Final version
This is the final look of the cue card that Lisa has designed. I think it looks great and i like the design in the background also the colours work well, and the text in the bottom is very fancy. Its good that she used black for the text so it stands out and also we wanted to use this in our game show for the TV host to hold.

Draft 3
This is another draft that we did but this time we added the two squares which are meant to be tables and we added the host which is Hussein. This is a old draft because before Hussein was the original TV host for our game show but then Leutrim the director wanted him to have another job role which was to be floor manger. The TV host was changed to Aaingel Nathan.

Floor Plan
This is the floor plan that we all made in Sally's lesson. Three of us from each group had a job to do, we had to go down to the studio room and one of us had to take pictures of the things that cant be moved in the room e.g the projector. One of us had to measure the floor and the other one had to record it on paper. I was one of the people who had to take pictures, so i took lots of pictures of the things that couldn't be moved like the white board and the light switches.
When we finished doing all of that, we went back to sally's room and we then recorded the measurements into the floor plan that we each had to draw out. This floor plan shows us the whole studios floor and where the doors are and from here we can see what changes we can do or where we can build the set design.

Set Design
Draft 1
This is the set design that me and Lisa have created and its the final look. We made it blue and pink so it represents boy vs girl and we think its the right size for our game show.

Game show location
We picked the studio room to film our game show as it was the only room available. At first we thought that maybe the studio room could be too small to fit our set design but we measured the room and we found out that its perfect. We have enough space to fit lights cameras and boom mic everywhere. We also have a back screen which can be changed to white, black or even green screen. That helps us if we ever need to edit something at the back we can use green screen.
In this picture we see the space that we have to build our set design and we were gonna build it in front of the white paper board. We wanted to cover the black poles on either sides and the top black pole, and also cover the lights. So we planned to make a banner that say's "Double Trouble" to cover it.

These three pictures of leutrim and Jamie, are measuring
the floor to see how big the studio room is, and if it is enough room for the
camera set up and our set design. They measured everywhere around the room and
leutrim recorded the measurements down so he can figure out how the set will
look and work.

This is where the camera's were set up at the end of the room. We are going to use only three camera's as we feel that it is enough. So we get to capture each shot from different angles and we will use them to edit later on once we filmed the actual show.

Here Rada and Ilyas are testing the camera's to see if they are ok and in good working order for when we rehearse to use later. Also it teaches them on how to use a filming camera for future reference.

Leutrim recorded the measurements that him and Jamie did around the studio floor. Now we can use that to help us build our set design and to see how much space we need or how high the set will be. We will now know whats in the way or what could be moved in the room for extra space.

Final logo design
This is the final look of the logo design and we thought to add blue and pink because the contestants will be boys vs girls, so each colour represents the gender. We really like the way it looks and we also think its suitable for our game show.

Logo Design
This is the logo design that is for our group but this is the first draft. We thought that we could make it better by changing the text or the color of it. We also think we should make the flash more bigger and brighter with the hands that high five together.

Set design Initial Ideas
This is the set design that me and Lisa designed and we might use it for our game show. We got the idea from another game show design that we saw on google images. We researched different types of game shows and picked out different ideas from each of them like shapes and lights. I also planned on where the contestants will be standing and where the host will be. The host should be in the middle of the floor and the contestants should be on each side and there will be a table

Initial set design
This is my initial set design i have created in Sally's lesson.
How have you used photography as a form of primary research to develop your initial set design ideas?
How i have used photography for primary research is that i took the pictures myself. I didn't get the images from the internet or got it from anyone else i took them with a camera.
Do you think this has been successful?
I think it has been successful because it will help me and my group get an idea of how we would want our set design to look.
How do you think this has helped you to develop your ideas?
This has helped me develop my ideas because i will now know how to build my set design for my group as i am set designer,
What influence has looking at the research methods f Stanley Kubrick in the last project influenced how you approach the research you have completed in this project?
Which of your initial design ideas do you think is the most successful?
Explain why?
How could you develop this idea further to use for the game show concept you have chosen?
